Ingredients
- 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp. salt
- A pinch of ground black pepper
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil blend
- 1 pack of West Peak Meats, Hollandse rook wors
Method
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and pepper. Make a well in the centre of the flour. Pour in the eggs, milk and melted butter and whisk into the flour until the texture is smooth. Cover and let it stand for about 30 minutes.
In the meantime pan-fry the Hollandse rook wors for a few minutes on each side.
Preheat the oven to180 degrees.
Prepare a baking dish. Place the sausage into the baking dish and pour the batter over the sausage. Bake for about 30 minutes until the batter has risen and is golden. Take a knife and insert it in the middle and if it comes out clean, your dish is ready.
