Ingredients:
A punnet of Zamli dates
1 tub of smooth cottage cheese / cream cheese (cheese and chive flavour works best)
2 tsp. Gochu-jang paste
West Peak Meats Streaky bacon
Method:
Scoop the cream cheese into a mixing bowl and stir in the Gochu-jang paste until well combined.
Make a small incision in each date and remove the pit. Fill the space with the spicy cream cheese mixture, then wrap each stuffed date in a strip of bacon.
Thread three bacon-wrapped dates onto a skewer. If the skewers are too long, feel free to cut them down to size.
Now they are ready for the braai! Braai them until the bacon is fully cooked and slightly crispy on the edges.
Serve straight from the braai – these are absolutely irresistible!
