CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS WRAPPED IN BACON WITH BBQ SAUCE

Ingredients:
1 pack of 6 -8 chicken drumsticks
Chicken rub
Olive oil
2 packs of West Peak Meats Streaky Bacon
BBQ sauce

Method:
Pre-cook the chicken in the oven. Cover the drumsticks with chicken rub and drizzle olive oil. Roast in the oven at 200° for 15 minutes.

Take one piece of streaky bacon and wrap the drumstick from the top to the bottom, leaving 1cm open from the bottom bone part. Lay down another two pieces of streaky bacon next to each other and wrap the rest of the drumstick to cover it completely. Do this with all of the chicken pieces and, if needed, secure with toothpicks.

Place the drumsticks on the braai grid over medium heat and braai for a few minutes. Then brush with BBQ sauce, baste and braai until fully cooked.
